Job Summary:

The Clinical Initiative Specialist is a member of the operations team at Rancho Medical, MSO Inc. and is instrumental in ensuring that clinical initiatives are successful. They work closely with the operational leadership team as well as the regional Medical Director and have an active role in patient outreach, scheduling, tracking, and organizing current and new clinical initiatives for our patient population. This position is also considered a clinical position and will need to attend all Medical Assistant Skills Days to continue to be up to date on any new policy and procedure that affects the clinical team. They will also be utilized as a Medical Assistant, when necessary, by the operational leadership team.

• Patient outreach – This can be for scheduling, following up on quality care, education, or any new initiative that would benefit patient care.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with patients/families/caregiver, providers, and other members of the care team.
• Must be self-motivated, able to effectively manage and prioritize daily/weekly duties and tasks.
• Responsible for the monitoring of quality metrics, CCR outreach and any other clinical initiative that is assigned.
• Be an active participant in meetings regarding any type of outreach or initiative that is being worked on.
• Demonstrate a high level of competency in documenting and tracking in the EHR, Excel and any other program that is needed.
• Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned.
• Work as a Medical Assistant when assigned to any of the regional offices.

Required education and experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

• Highschool Diploma
• Medical Assistant
• At least 4 years of experience as an MA in the primary care setting.
