As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner closely with the Manager, Strategic Finance to assist with the development, design, and maintenance of reporting systems for business and finance operations. Key responsibilities include detailed financial analysis, preparation of the annual operating budget, supporting of the monthly financial reporting, monthly variance analyses (year-over-year, actual-vs-budget), database queries, and preparation of business reports and dashboards.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate consolidated, company, and business unit financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results against prior periods and budget, including analysis of key financial and performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain financial reports using the Company’s selected accounting software (i.e. Sage Intacct)
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement for our operation leaders and providers.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of monthly financial and operational dashboards.
- Participate in the development of the annual operating and capital budgets and any periodic revisions necessary; participate in forecast preparation as required.
- Assist with the development of long-term financial and operational plans.
- Prepare and manage the monthly revenue recognition process for our numerous business lines (FFS, HMO and incentives).
- Prepare monthly medical cost analyses and budget comparisons for our clinics and regions.
- Provide support to the Accounting and Revenue Cycle teams with requests related to internal and external audits and regulatory reviews.
- Provide a high level of assurance related to the quality of data presented internally and externally through reconciliations between source systems (ADP, Practice Management reports and our Datawarehouse.)
- Create ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested.
Required education and experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
Minimum Education required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited college/university
Minimum Experience Required:
- Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare (clinics or payors) and / or relevant industries
- Minimum of three years of experience in complex financial analysis and/or budgeting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other data analytics / business intelligence tools
- Big 4 / Investment Banking / Private Equity / Consulting background preferred
Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to process and synthesize large complex data sets and create deliverables to numerous stakeholders
- Strong understanding of accounting/financial principles and methodologies
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, including the ability to effectively assess and manage priorities
- Strong understanding of healthcare providers economics and medical group clinical, financial, and business operations
- Working knowledge of navigating data warehouse / business intelligence tools, such as practice management and electronic health record (EHR) systems; prior experience with Epic, Athena, and eCW preferred
- Working knowledge and prior experience in preparing annual budgets and projections for multi-site entities
Salary range: $90,000-$120,000 per year.
